Invisible across all 5 AI engines, and the 90-day path to fix it
A full AI-visibility audit across all 5 major engines, with a head-to-head competitive gap against the market leader, revealing why ProLyrics was invisible and exactly how to fix it.
ProLyrics.ai builds AI tools for songwriters, a genuinely useful product in a high-demand space. But when I tested them the way their customers now search, the result was stark: not a single AI engine could recommend them.
What I tested
I ran ProLyrics through the five engines that increasingly decide who gets discovered:
- Google AI Overviews
- ChatGPT
- Gemini
- Claude
- Perplexity
For each, I measured whether ProLyrics appeared when a real user asked for tools in their category, and how they stacked up against the competitor quietly winning those answers.
What I found
ProLyrics was invisible across all five engines (0/5), while their main competitor, LyricStudio, appeared in three. The gap wasn’t subtle:
- ProLyrics ranked for one keyword, their own brand name.
- LyricStudio dominated seven high-volume keywords (2,900–6,600 searches each).
- A domain authority gap of 1 vs 26, and 254 vs 76,615 monthly visitors.
- Roughly 31,600 monthly searches in their own category, going entirely to others.
The root cause wasn’t the product. It was that nothing about ProLyrics told the engines they were a credible, citable source, and a competitor had spent two years building exactly those signals through consistent publishing.
The recommendation
The audit closes with a 90-day roadmap: GEO optimization for the AI engines, AI-assisted content targeting the keywords competitors already own, authority-building in relevant music communities, and an iterative system to scale what works.
The takeaway for any business: being invisible to AI is rarely about your product. It’s about whether the engines have a reason to trust and cite you yet.
